Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 19, 2026
Overview
SnowFire ("the App") is developed and operated by Badger House Productions LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), located in San Ramon, California. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use SnowFire.
Data We Collect
SnowFire is a local-first application. Your data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. The following data is collected and stored locally:
Health Data: Heart rate, calories burned, and workout data accessed through Apple HealthKit during therapy sessions. This data is only accessed with your explicit permission and is stored locally on your device.
Session Data: Therapy session records including type, duration, temperature, and benefit zone progress. All session data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework.
Account Information: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and optionally your name and email address (if you choose to share them). This is used solely for authentication purposes.
Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to manage your subscription entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or health data.
How We Use Your Data
Your health and session data is used exclusively to provide the app's functionality: tracking therapy sessions, calculating benefit zones, displaying metrics, and syncing between your iPhone and Apple Watch. We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal or health data to any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Apple HealthKit: Used to read heart rate and write workout data. Health data is never shared with advertisers or data brokers, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
RevenueCat: Used to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes anonymous transaction data to verify your subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
Apple Sign In: Used for authentication. Apple may provide us with your name and email address if you choose to share them during sign-in.
Data Storage & Security
All personal and health data is stored locally on your device using Apple's encrypted storage frameworks. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
Your Rights (CCPA & GDPR)
California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
European Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights by managing or deleting the app.
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time through the app's Settings > Delete My Data option, or by uninstalling the app. Since data is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently removes all session data, health data, and account information from your device.
Children's Privacy
SnowFire is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
